In some ways this was a very inconvenient trip - we had just moved out of our London flat but couldn't move into our house in Lewes so I left my wife and baby staying at my parents. However, it was ultimately a very worthwhile trip. Four of us from the UK had won the trip with the Tourism Authority of Thailand. On our return we were then judged on our pictures and fortunately I won first prize of £2000 of camera vouchers!

For most of the trip we were in north eastern Thailand in an area called Isan. However, we also had a couple of days to explore the crowded streets of Bangkok.
