This was to be my third job for Thomson in 2009 and definitely the best. It was a busy week photographing 20 hotels but the pleasure of being on such a fabulous bit of coastline more than made up for this. On top of this there was the wonderful Italian food, coffee and ice cream.

Sadly I was never able to make it over to Vesuvius or Pompeii. However I did manage a quitessential Italian experience - hopping a ride on the back of a Vespa whilst weaving in and out of traffic in a busy town!
